For over twenty-five years, D. E. Wilkie has worked as an ordained minister, a mental health and addiction counsellor, a child and family therapist, and a marriage counsellor. He holds advanced degrees in both theology and psychology. He has also struggled with sexual addiction for most of his life, and the collateral damage of that struggle has cost him both his vocational ministries. This battle has forced Wilkie to understand God's Word (The Bible) in a new light as he lines up his theology with his reality. All of which is to say that he is a man who is eminently qualified to write a book on addiction and the spiritual implications on recovery. A committed husband, a father of three, and grandfather of two, he treasures the time he spends with his family and enjoys camping, skiing and most recently competing in the Iron Man. As an Ottawa native he is a die heart fan of the Ottawa Senators and Redblacks.
