Business Economics is sometimes called by some economists "business economics and organization" which consists of applying the concept of economics to business. It is a branch of general economics that studies the foundations and mechanisms of economic acts of the firm. The birth of business economics is recent in an article that was published by R. Coase in the 1930s, entitled "The nature of the firm. The nature of the firm". In reality there is no universal definition of the firm. It depends on the approach one chooses. Everyone gives a definition that will facilitate his explanations. The aim of this work is to present the conventional bases. It is a production unit that transforms inputs into output. It has dimensions (economic, human, societal and legal). Its purpose is the very essence of its existence. Its functions are the creation of wealth. The types of organization, structures, the importance of different strategies, competitive analysis, performance evaluation and finally the modes of growth are explained.
