Although powerful allies assist her search, she encounters untold obstacles and joins Donothor's Rangers. The saga includes detailed accounts of events in Donothor's greatest conflict, the Iron Mountains War. Ravenna travels many paths, finds unexpected friends, and encounters challenging foes.
