The theological and historical models of Anthropology, Ontology and Cosmology: Body, Soul and Spirit show us the framework of our being within the universe, connected to God. It gives a foundation for us to understand and explanation of practice. Ontology is about our personal self; body, soul and spirit. Anthropology is the relationship of our personal self: body, soul and spirit in relation to other humans and society. Cosmology is about our personal self and nature, the universe and the Communion of Saints. There has been a long discussion on the nature, structure and function of the human soul since the beginning of the Church. It is found in the Old and New Testaments, the early Church Fathers, the monastic movement and modern times.
