Illinois, winter, 1958. Eleven-year-old Michael Carmello lives with his parents and five siblings in a small house in Hardscrabble, Illinois. Author Biography
Michael Panno was born in Illinois but has lived in California since 1959. He writes books and plays the saxophone, including recording five albums with The Tractors out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
