Synopsis The island of Koal attempts to defend itself from empire-seeking Edward Baroque, a king who has conquered four of the five Luzon islands. King Mikai Duvall while suffering from an injury sustained in battle, struggles to maintain leadership while his brother Lucas, a high-ranking member of the King's Army, defends their weakened kingdom. With continued pressure from the Council of Elders, a myriad of intrusive servants, questionable gods, and a ruined harvest, life on the Fifth Island is not simple, but the two brothers work together to overcome a mightier and evil force. In doing so, the two men are challenged with romance and revolution, and the ultimate bond of brotherhood and family name.
Author Biography
About the Author A native of Illinois, Erin is a full-time restaurateur in Colorado. When not working she involves herself in equestrian activities, reading, writing, and travel. Hobbies include subjecting employees to untrue tales of adventure had by her dog Cash and her horse Maverick. Prior to completing Duvall she had published smaller works of poetry and prose. Beginning in 2013, she spent two years creating and publishing a monthly newspaper for her community, The 4th Street Chronicle. Erin holds degrees in history, secondary education, theater, and communication.
