Foliar fertilizers and biostimulants are defined as synthetic compounds or growth bioregulators, which are added with other substances, such as macro and micronutrients, growth hormones, amino acids, humic substances, organic substances, mineral salts, microorganisms, carbohydrates and algal extracts. The use of foliar fertilizers and biostimulants as an agronomic technique aims to promote, modify or inhibit the metabolic and physiological processes of plants, through the stimulation of cell division, cell differentiation and effective fruiting, to optimize agricultural production in some crops, which has gained space in recent years, being used to enhance the productive performance of agricultural crops. Foliar fertilizers and biostimulants act on the physiology of the plant in different ways and by different routes to improve productivity and quality. They are products of various origins, increasingly used in agriculture.
