She was born in Dubna in 1973. She has studied and taught in Germany and the United States, receiving her PhD from Northwestern University in Illinois. She has published six books of poetry, and has translated into Russian the work of numerous authors, including Franz Kafka, Walter Benjamin, Franz Rosenzweig, and Paul Celan.
