For a construction project to be successful, the safety of the structures, as well as that of the personnel, is of utmost importance. The construction industry employs skilled and unskilled laborers subject to construction site accidents, and numerous health risks. A proper coordination between contractors, clients, and the labor workforce is needed for safe work conditions which are lacking in Kirinyaga construction companies. The importance of this study was to provide greater insight into a broader way the cause of accidents, institute preventive measures that can be undertaken to avoid injuries in construction projects, and help in the development of a safer work environment for all construction operations of Kirinyaga-Central, Kirinyaga County.
