Hug Me Against the Haze is a collection of wonderful Persian poems by Sheida Mohamadi which are now translated into English for a wider audience. We have been glad to have had this young and talented poet present at the Dr. Samuel M. Jordan Center for Persian Studies and Culture. Ms. Mohamadi has given lectures on aspects of modern Persian poetry and literature for the past year and has worked on her poems, which include a collection of translated poems. This is the outcome of this endeavor which, I hope, brings to attention the liveliness of Persian poetry in the twenty-first century.
