There is a simple explanation with each chapter followed by different approaches to a fuller understanding of sentence construction. There is a story at the end of each which is funny and appropriate. It also contains a revision of the previous chapters. There is a recurring theme of Johnnie Appleseed and his friend Honey Pear Drop who is a beekeeper. They take part in the games and exercises throughout. The whole book is delightful, happy, easy and will make you think.
