Myra and Joe is a modern version of the 1st century Palestine story of Joseph, Mary, and Jesus. The narrative is placed on a contemporary platform beginning in 2014 when the Son of God is born and ending in the future year of 2047 with his final execution and resurrection. The names of the main characters differ from the biblical forms but are the same in nature. In the book, Mary is Myra and Joseph is Joe. Jesus is named Manel, a short version of Emmanuel, which means God with us; and God is El Elyon, which is Hebrew for Most High God. An outstanding feature of the narrative is one that transcends the boundaries of time and space; the story happens not on Earth, but on planet Zearth. As per discoveries in the realm of Quantum Physics, there could exist another planet identical to ours; hence planet Zearth.
Author Biography
Carlos A. Cedillo never expected to become an author.
But something changed in 2012: the spirit of Christmas captivated Carlos in a whole new way. Visions of the Nativity story filled his thoughts, but it wasn't the Nativity story we all know. This was a modern-even futuristic-version of the familiar tale, and it was set on another planet.
Carlos knew something was strange about the persistence of this alternative Christian history, but it wasn't until he read about the many-worlds interpretation of quantum physics that everything clicked into place.
From there, Myra and Joe took on a life of its own, pouring onto the page in waves of divine inspiration. Carlos dutifully transcribed his visions, staying true to the story as it flowed into his consciousness and learning the fine art of storytelling as he went. Five years later, his journey is complete.
