Scarecrows on Main is a rhyming book inspired by the author's very own hometown of Mountain City, Tennessee. The annual Scarecrows on Main festival involves decorating Main Street's lamp posts with creative scarecrows decorated as monsters, spooky scenes, and the like. The scarecrows are entered into a contest where the best one wins all sorts of exciting prizes.
On Halloween night, Main Street comes to life with the wave of a magic wand, bringing all manner of creepy creatures to life. Ghosts, ghouls, skeletons, and monsters inhabit the empty streets this night and come to linger with the living as children trick-or-treat. The children will be recieving more than just delicious candy this magical night with plenty of scares to go around
