Author Biography

Madalin E. Jackson (Madalin Bickel) is a native of West Virginia who moved to Virginia to be near her children and grandchildren. She is an award winning poet and prose writer. Her two collections of poetry are "Notes From a Failed World" and "Some Kind of Alternate Universe." The first collection is dedicated to sufferers of auto immune disorders. The second collection, which reflects her life in West Virginia, is dedicated to the seventy-five victims of the 1970 Marshall University plane crash. Madalin is a graduate of Marshall University. She retired in 2012 after completing over 40 years of teaching including elementary, middle school, and college. Her prose and poetry can be found in a variety of anthologies including the Centennial Anthology of the Virginia Writers Club. As a lover of any type of mystery or thriller, she has always wanted to write mysteries and finally has achieved her goal. She has already begun the second Writers Block mystery.
