by Lauren Hardin (Illustrator), Dorothy Dickens Meyerink (Author)
"The Littlest Camel and the Journey Star" tells the story of a young camel who goes with his mother on a special journey. His name, "Littlest Camel," describes him well. His mother's new owner and two other rich princes were following a bright star. The men felt that this star was guiding them in their search for a very important person-perhaps a king. Some difficult and exciting things happened to the Littlest Camel-getting lost in the desert, carrying precious gifts for a special person and, finally, giving his own gift to the young Prince. The "Littlest Camel" tells the Christmas story from the viewpoint of a young camel who followed the three Princes as they searched for and found a new King.
Author Biography
From grade school to the present day, Dorothy Dickens Meyerink has enjoyed writing: stories, poetry, articles and (in 2011) a book: "Ministry Among the Maya" which describes her life and 38-year missionary service in Mexico with her husband. Her love of writing seems to be an inherited trait-passed on to her from her distant cousin-author Charles Dickens.
