This is a work of historical fiction written for young readers. It is set in the village of Wickford, Rhode Island in the late 1800's and involves an adventure whereby the children ride on a horse drawn sleigh across the frozen ice of the Narragansett Bay to witness a remarkable event. It is illustrated by retired USN Engineer and URI Professor Emeritus Dan Urish, who like the author Tim Cranston is a resident of the village of Wickford in North Kingstown Rhode Island.
