Falls Among Older Adults Cost Our Medical System $30 BILLION in 2010....What Will a Fall Cost You?
According to the CDC, 1 in 3 adults over the age of 65 will have a fall this year. Of those who fall, 20% to 30% suffer moderate to severe injuries that make it hard for them to get around or live independently, and increase their risk of early death. Unfortunately, it's easy to ignore the aches and pains of aging and put off dealing with your health. Have you noticed any of these early warning signs in yourself or in a loved one?- Trouble going up and down stairs
- Stiff joints and reduced feeling in the lower body
- Hesitance to get out and walk, especially when the weather is bad or at night
