This book was written with three goals in mind. First, as an introduction to the field of Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. Second, as a way to educate the reader in a wide range of disabilities, including mental health, cognitive, physical, and developmental disorders. Third, to provide real life scenarios and real-life solutions to guide counselors who work with these individuals. As a veteran counselor, I have worked with well over a thousand clients with disabilities. I have gained an intimate knowledge of disabilities as well as the impact upon the individuals.
