According to Dr. David Ellenson, President of the nation's largest Jewish seminary, Evan is one of the country's most truly charismatic and thoughtful young leaders. Since 2009, he served as the spiritual leader of Congregation Solel in suburban Chicago, having been named to that post at age 30. He has also appeared on the Fox News Channel as a religious commentator, most recently to discuss the gay marriage debate before the Supreme Court. Committed to interfaith relations and sharing Jewish wisdom with the world, Evan lectures and teaches at churches and interfaith institutions around the country. He also writes for the Huffington Post and Beliefnet.com, the largest multifaith website in the world, where his blog is among its most popular and widely shared. Originally from Houston, Texas, Evan spent his formative years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
