In September 2002, Tommy Wiseau produced a film called The Room and hired me to direct the project for him. He was the Producer, Writer and lead male actor of this film. For fourteen years, he has claimed to be the Director as well. Nothing could be further from the truth The events leading up to my writing this book may not be so funny to me personally; but the story itself is hilarious. My friends - I directed every scene so far over the top, the actors needed oxygen simply to survive the dialogue. I was not trying to make a great film; I was trying to make a funny film I took a crate of lemons the size of the Grand Canyon and created an ocean of absurdly funny lemonade. The Room has been called "The Citizen Kane of bad movies." It has been called, "The worst movie ever made." But, is it? I don't think so...

Author Biography

Sandy Schklair fled Medical school in 1982 and ran to California to begin a career in film. He has since been working in Hollywood, primarily as a script supervisor, screenwriter and film Director for 30 years. Sandy is currently in pre-production for Directing a feature film in Europe in 2018 and has most recently been portrayed by Seth Rogen in James Franco's The Disaster Artist.
